Sandra Hegland, RN, BSN, MBA

CEO

Sandra brings more than 20 years of healthcare management expertise to HealthSouth Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital. A Missouri native, she received her associate degree in Nursing from Mineral Area College in Missouri and later graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Sandra’s expertise in leading organizations is a result of her passion for mentoring leaders, building teams and coordinating strategic planning.

Chris Yoon, M.D.

Medical Director

Chris Yoon, M.D., graduated from the Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, and completed his residency at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York. In addition to operating a private practice, Dr. Yoon has been the medical director of Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital since 1993.

Tami Holden

Director of Human Resources

Tami has been with HealthSouth for seven years and has the unique benefit of working from the ground up. Tami started with the hospital as a nursing assistant and has worked in several departments. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of Laverne, Tami went into Human Resources and was promoted to the director’s position in 2005.

Janette V. Menchaca

Director of Therapy Operations

Janette brings more than 10 years of clinical experience in acute rehabilitation to HealthSouth Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital. A Kern County native, she graduated from California State University Fresno with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physical therapy. She enjoys motivating patients to achieve their goals by helping them regain hope and confidence in what they can do.

Robert Mosesian

Chief Financial Officer

Robert joined HealthSouth Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital in April of 2004, bringing with him more than 20 years of finance and operational experience, 15 of those years in the healthcare field. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from National American University.

Donna Parent, RN

Director of Quality and Risk Management

Donna is a registered nurse with more than 20 years experience in nursing and healthcare with emphasis in neuro and trauma care. She received her Registered Nursing license in Northern California and her MBA/HCA at University of Phoenix. Donna’s expertise is in critical care nursing and program development.

Amy Scroggs, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Amy joined HealthSouth Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital in 2009, bringing with her more than 17 years of clinical healthcare and management expertise. She received her RN degree in Dallas, Texas and is currently in school studying Healthcare Administration.
